Just Another Snowboarder Magazine Article

Just when you thought the paparazzi couldn't get enough... Snowcats hits the front pages again. Backcountry Snowcats has been featured in an article in Snowboarder Magazine. The article was an editorial piece on the Oakley Teams visit to Snowcats last winter during while making the Tracking Eero movie/reality show.

It would seem that the Team Oakley riders were pretty impressed with what they found at Snowcats. Not just the snow and terrain either, the general sense was that for production purposes you cant beat it...

"Reg and Kathy’s years of park-building experience at Whistler might possibly have been the most beneficial skillset brought to the table, as we soon learned that cutting blocks and stacking snow to build jumps was obsolete when you had two of the best pushers in the Pemberton area at your disposal and an endless white canvas of rollers to work with. Eero, Danny, and Torstein would scope out a spot, point to where they wanted the wedge, and Reg and Kathy would push massive mounds of snow wherever they requested without question, completely alleviating any building hours and maximizing the efficiency of the feature/filming mission ten-fold. Park jumps with pow landings—it was unlike anything I’d ever seen."

Just to be clear Sharting is most definitely something that is unique to these folks and not part of the culture here at Snowcats.
