Getting to Snowcats During the Olympics

Backcountry Snowcats are pleased to announce that we will be operating throughout the Olympic Period, February 11 – 28, 2010. So why not take in some of the action in Whistler and then escape for your deep powder fix to Snowcats! Travel between Vancouver and Pemberton via Whistler is going to require some more planning: Vanoc has given Backcountry Snowcats "access passes" for our guests for the Sea to Sky (High way 99) from Feb 12- 28 Olympic games period. These passes will be dated and mailed to the guests effected by the check point just north of Squamish at the Alice lake turn off. ALL vehicles will have to display a pass on the windscreen to be permitted through during the games. Make sure to give us your mailing details when you book. It is strongly recommended to give yourself extra time to get through the traffic and to car pool if possible. Travel details can be viewed at www.travelsmart2010.ca. Please get informed before you travel to Pemberton!
