Yesterdays stormed droped 14 cm on top of the last 36 cm. Temps dropped rapidly last night and the snow has dried out!

A slightly unsettled air mass will bring cooler conditions to the alpine today. A weak system is expected to bring some evening flurries.

On Monday a ridge of high pressure will build over the area. Sunny periods and no precipitation are expected.

A well defined low pressure system is then expected to arrive overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday with snow and moderate accumulations. The pattern will remain slightly cool for the season.

Welcome To Backcountry Snowcats

Backcountry Snowcats is a Cat Skiing and Snowboarding operation hidden in British Columbia's South Chilcotin Mountains just to the north of Whistler, Canada. The weather here is colder and drier than nearby Whistler (30 kms away) but gets all of the same storm cycles. It snows on average 10m (32ft) of cold dry snow per season accumulating up to 3.5m (11.5ft) base, making the terrain prime for skiing and riding.
